has been an Optician with Creston Vision Clinic since August of 1973. He is a native of Lone Tree, Iowa and graduate of Simpson College. He has served on the state board of the Opticians Association and is one of few Iowans that are Master of Ophthalmic Optics, as certified by the American Board of Opticians. Bill is meticulous in executing his main duties which involve spectacle Rx production, adjustment and repair.
Bill has two children, Maclaine and Candace, and along with wife, Angel, three step children and eight step grandchildren. Bill enjoys time with family, golf, vacationing, and using principles of Scientology to help himself and those around him.
Prior to coming to CVC in 2002, Donna Pals
attended Orient High School and Des Moines Area Community College. She also had 18 years experience at a medical clinic in Greenfield. At CVC, she can be found at the front desk checking patients in and out, handling phone calls and scheduling appointments. Donna is the primary Medicaid coordinator.
Donna and husband Paul live on a farm west of Orient and they have three boys, Kyle, Seth and Conner. Donna enjoys sporting events, power walking, reading, gardening, and spending time with family.
was a 1990 East Union graduate. She later returned to advance her education, graduating from SWCC in 2005 as an Office Systems Specialist. She has worked at CVC since 2006. At CVC her main function is to control frame inventory, meet with product vendors, monitor lab orders and assist with frame adjustment and repair. She also educates patients about their product options.
Shannon has two children, Jordan and Kiefer. She and her husband, Nick, live on an acreage south of Afton. She enjoys reading and gardening.
Although a long time resident of Creston, Janice Ramaeker
is originally from New Hampton, Iowa. Janice has been the receptionist at CVC since 2008, but many patients remember her from years spent working at St. Malachy School. Her primary duties include greeting patients, collecting patient insurance and demographic information, and answering the phone.
One of Janice's greatest pleasures is staying involved in the lives of her five children and one grandchild.
An Afton native and East Union HS graduate, Amanda Hansen
began working for CVC in July of 2008. Her primary duties involve Medicare and private insurance filing. She also supports the front desk and fills in when needed as an Optometric Technician.
Her husband, Jason, is a long time employee of Precision Optical and they have a toddler son, Maddox. In her spare time Amanda enjoys reading and playing Uno.
is a native of Mallard, Iowa and graduated with honors from Iowa State University with a BA Degree in Accounting. She works part time at CVC coordinating payroll, managing financials, and administering staff benefits. She also works fulltime for Draper, Snodgrass and Mikkelsen primarily as a tax preparer and staff accountant. She enjoys golf, family, and watching local and Iowa State University sporting events.
, started at CVC in 2011. As Ophthalmic Technician, her main responsibilities are to administer tests for the doctors and assist in patient flow. Kayla is a graduate of Creston High School and has her Associate of Arts degree from Southwestern Community College. She is currently working on her BA in Business through Buena Vista University.
When not studying, Kayla enjoys spending time with her five siblings and relaxing.
