Dr. McKim and Dr. Stults are Optometrists serving Creston, IA and surrounding communities.
Both Dr. McKim and Dr. Stults enjoy caring for the patients at Creston Vision Clinic and look forward to the one-on-one interaction involved with solving eye health and vision problems. Dr. Don McKim
Dr. Don McKim is originally from West Bend, Iowa, graduating from WBHS in 1978. From there he went to Iowa State University to study Electrical Engineering, but during his sophomore year he became interested in Optometry. After earning a BS from Iowa State, Dr. McKim was accepted to Illinois College of Optometry. While in Optometry school, Dr. McKim worked in downtown Chicago (in retail optical) and was fortunate to participate in clinical rotations at the West Side VA Medical Center. After graduating in 1986, he joined Dr. Wes Fisher (deceased) and Dr. Steve Stults (retired) at Creston Vision Clinic.
Dr. McKim and his wife Diana were married in 1983 and they have two children, Ryan, born in 1986 and Katelyn, born in 1989. Dr. McKim is a licensed pilot, golfer, Cyclone fan and he enjoys home remodeling and repair projects.
Dr. Ken Stults
Dr. Ken Stults is originally from Creston, graduating from CHS in 1987. He continued his education at Central College, earning his BS in 1991. From there he went to Indiana University School of Optometry, graduating with honors in 1995. He served as primary Optometrist at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, NE. In July of 1995 he joined Dr. Steve Stults and Dr. McKim at Creston Vision Clinic.
Dr. Stults and wife Amy (Downing) were married in 1996 and they have two children, Emily, born in 1997 and Michael born in 1999. When not seeing patients, Dr. Stults enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and traveling.
